About Me

My main profession is silversmithing, but somehow life wanted me to become a bicycle repairman. I have a passion for the work I do and also enjoy giving the leftover materials a new life. We have bicycle shops in Amsterdam that have made a name for themselves and do a great job. There I am part of a team that loves their work. Besides making bicycles, I also get satisfaction from recycling and in this way I try to contribute to helping protect our world. In 2023 I founded Moriginal Studio, where bicycle repair and my own profession come together nicely.

I produce several identical designs from old and worn bicycle parts. I do this with the perspective of my old profession. For example, I transform worn bicycle chains into a shape that will never wear out. At the moment I have started with chandeliers, but it will certainly not stop there. My source of inspiration is the canals, the symbols of Amsterdam. This series will be continued with the Rotterdam Collection. The plan is to produce identical pendant lamps of the Rotterdam bridges.
